STATUS OF THE GULF COAST SHELL SHOW

STATUS OF THE GULF COAST SHELL SHOW

The status of the 2021 Gulf Coast Shell Show was discussed and voted on at the August meeting of the Gulf Coast Shell Club. The club concluded that, in all good conscience, we could not hold an event that could potentially sicken (or worse) attendees. Thus, it is with regret that we announce the rescheduling of the event.

Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation indicated that no dates were available through the end of the year except for ones entirely unworkable in mid-December. This pushed us into 2022. The first part of the year is preoccupied by other Florida shell shows. The first available Lyndell Center dates following these shows were 25-27 March 2022. These dates are reserved for our event.

So, the good news is that you now have an additional eight months to finish or expand your exhibits for the show. We hope that you will take advantage of this time to work on your collections. We also hope that if you had volunteered to work in any manner at the show you will continue efforts during the new dates.
